It’s far easier and cheaper to take the train straight into the city centre.

RER B leaves terminals 2 and 3 from the TGV station situated within the airport, just follow signs for Paris by Train. If you land at terminal 1 you have to take the shuttle to Terminal 3 in order to take the train. The shuttle is called CDGVAL and is clearly signposted. Just make sure you don’t get off too early as this shuttle also stops at the car parks.

Once you are at the TGV station you can easily find the trains into Paris. This line stops at many of Paris’ main metro stations, including Gare du Nord, Châtelet and Nôtre Dame, from which you can change to all other Paris metro lines. Tickets can be bought from the ticket machines within the station and are only 8,40€ for adults, 5,90€ for children (aged 4-9) and free under 4s. Hold on to your tickets as you will need to swipe them on your way out.

For more information see Paris By Train
